Dear valued customer, Starting on Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m., all Edmonton Public Library (EPL) branches will temporarily close until further notice due to a labour disruption. We recognize the importance of our services to you, and we regret that we are unable to continue providing normal services during this time. The closure of our branches will be a sad day for Edmontonians, EPL and our employees. This closure requires us to cancel all programs and services scheduled for at least seven days following Thursday, March 14. If you have registered for an EPL class/event or booked a meeting room, we will notify you of cancellation. During this temporary closure, you can continue to access our digital resources and borrow items from our digital content, as well as browse our website. Please review our FAQs for furher information. If you have library materials on loan, please keep them at home until the Library reopens. All due dates are extended and no late fees will accrue. Your available holds will be ready when we reopen. We care deeply about our employees and we highly value their contributions. We remain steadfast in our commitment to reaching an agreement with Civic Service Union 52 that is fair for employees and affordable for Edmontonians who are also struggling with the rising cost of living.
